You are viewing an article from the Destination Clubs category.
Distinctive Holiday Homes has released its new pricing matrix for 2008, and new members should be pleased to see that annual dues have actually dropped. The prices reflect a new membership fee model, which deviates from the destination club’s previous, more rigid, structure.
Plans on the lower end of the price and time spectrums now have slightly higher initial deposits, but for all plans with four or more weeks of use included, the deposit will remain very close to the $50,000 per week rule of thumb previously set in place by the club. Where members will really see a difference is in the annual dues, which have dropped across all levels, including the new Diamond Plan, which offers buyers six full weeks of use. Yearly fees for even the club’s smallest plan, which includes seven days of use, have dropped $1,100, to $5,900, and the price decreases become more pronounced as the number of days rises. Members will see a significant $12,100 in yearly savings on the new six week plan, which would have drawn an initial deposit of $300,000 with $42,000 in annual dues by the old model, and is now being offered for a $299,000 deposit with annual dues totaling $29,900. These new prices will be available to both new and current members of Distinctive Holiday Homes.
Other news for the club includes the addition of four corporate plans to the mix, as well as their continuing BMW promotion, which runs through June 1, and offers 100 new members at the Premium level or higher a complimentary 2-year lease on a new BMW valued up to the plan’s annual dues.
