Destination Clubs Target Existing High Country Club Members

Destination clubs are beginning to circle around the existing members of High Country Club, which remains in state of limbo as club executives amend the proposed reorganization plan.

This morning, Abercrombie & Kent Residence Club extended an offer to members of any existing destination clubs to join A&K but delay paying up to 80% of the deposit fee for six months, interest-free. Membership at Abercrombie & Kent Residence Club ranges from $225,000 to $495,000 and includes 15 to 45 travel days annually. The club is touting its equity-ownership status—club homes are owned debt-free and are only sold from the portfolio upon approval of the membership.

Ultimate Escapes also extended an offer to High Country Club members offering a credit of $20,000 to $40,000 on a membership. Additionally the club created a seven-day plan for High Country Club members priced at $35,000. The offer is available through December 12.

Distinctive Holidays Homes has also extended an offer to High Country Club members via Destination Club Forums. The club is offering members a 14-day plan for a discounted rate of $60,000. The 14-day plan for non-High Country Club members sells for $99,000. The club is also allowing members to extend the membership deposit over five years, interest-free. Distinctive Holiday Homes will go forward with this offer if 100 High Country Club members make the switch.
