Thomas Keller, with seven combined Michelin stars in his five restaurants, is one of the most acclaimed American chefs of our time. Although he doesn’t provide personal chef services, a few luxury fractionals in the San Francisco area can bring you closer to his artful cuisine.
Food Through Fractions
Private residence clubs in San Francisco typically include concierge services that can locate the specialty dinner you’ve been craving. And with Napa’s wine country at arm’s reach, there’s no shortage of libations either.
Luxury Fractional Real Estate in Napa
- The Lodges at Calistoga Ranch are selling 1/10 deeded interests in each of their 27 lodges. The property is an Auberge Resort and offers exchanges with Esperanza in Cabo San Lucas.
- The Orchard at Carneros, a PlumpJack Resort, offers 1/10 ownership of each of its seventeen cottages for $300,000.
Both of these properties are within a 20-minute drive to Chef Keller’s restaurants; French Laundry, Bouchon and Ad Hoc are all located in Yountville, which is less than ten miles north of Napa. Be advised that The French Laundry’s reservations are hard to come by even with an expert concierge.
Luxury Fractional Real Estate in San Francisco
City dwellers will prefer the urban flare of San Francisco to the sleepy atmosphere of Napa Valley. If you don’t mind an hour ride to Yountville, or are willing to discover more Michelin-rated restaurants, San Francisco’s fractional properties offer year-round appeal.
- The Ritz-Carlton Club is currently selling 1/12 shares in its 49 club member units. The apartments – located in the heart of San Francisco’s financial district – range from two to four bedrooms, and units start at $200,000 per share.
- Resort Equities offers 1/8th shares in its Union Square property for $375,000, with reciprocity agreement with its other ten properties. At the time of writing, their Odeon Penthouse is the only fractional property ready for occupancy in San Francisco.
- The Fairmont Heritage at Ghirardelli Square is also in its pre-completion phase. Its five-week, 1/10 deeded ownership shares are priced at $250,000.
All the properties offer a concierge service that will help you nail those hard-to-get reservations – both in Napa and in San Francisco (in which you can find fourteen restaurants with sixteen Michelin Stars).
